Imām al-Riḍā ▧:

May Allāh ◣ shower mercy upon an obedient who has revived our cause.  The Imām was asked “how could one revive your cause”?  He replied: by learning about our knowledge, and making it known to [other] people.  People would indeed follow us if they knew about the virtue of our words.

Imām al-Ḥusayn ▧:

Verily, the love of us, Ahl al- Bayt, sheds sins off an individual, just as a strong wind sheds leaves off the tree.

Imām al-Bāqir ▧:

A believer can escalate to highest degree of belief with prudent study of our narration.

Ḥaḍrat Fāṭimah Zahrā ▨:

We, Ahl al-Bayt, are the intermediaries in His Creation, we are His favourites, and the descending point of divinities, and we are His final Proof of His unseen world, and we are inheritors of His prophets.

الصَّلاةُ وَ الصُّومُ

نماز و روزه

‍‍ Ṣalāt (Prayer) and Ṣawm (Fasting)

18-01
الصَّلاةُ قُربانُ كُلِّ تَقيٍّ

نماز وسيله تقرب همه پرهيزكاران است[به خدا].

The alāt [i] (prayer) is a vehicle for the pious to seek closeness to Allāh.

18-02

اَلصَّلاةُ حِصْنُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَ مَدْحَرَةُ الشَّيطَانِِ.

نماز پناهگاه‌ رحمانی و وسيله ی راندن‌ شيطان‌ است.

The ṣalāt is a shelter of al-Raḥmān ( All ā h ), and runs away the satan.

18-03

مَوْضِعُ الصَّلو’ةِ مِنَ الدّينِ كَمَوْضِعِ الرَّأسِ مِنَ الْجَسَدِ.

جايگاه‌ نماز نسبت‌ به‌ دين‌ مانند جايگاه‌ سر است‌ نسبت‌ به‌ تن‌.

The status of ṣalāt in the dīn [i] is like the status of head in the body.

18-04

... فَجَعَلَ اللهُ... الصَّلاةَ تَنْزيهاً لَكُمْ عَنِ الْكِبْرِ...

...خدای تعالی‌ نماز را جهت‌ تنزيه‌ شما از كبر قرار داد‌...

 ... Allāh has madeṣalāt as a means of freeing you from arrogance...

Ḥaḍrat Fāṭimah Zahrā (a.s.):  Book No. 3, v. 29, p. 223.


18-05

الصَّلاةُ عَمُودُ الدِّينِ.

نماز ستون دين است.

Ṣalāt is the pillar (pole) of the dīn.

Prophet Muḥammad (ph&hp):  Book No .  11, v. 10, p. 206.


18-06

اُوصِيكُم بِالصَّلاةِ وَحِفظِهَا.  فَإنَّهَا خَيرُ العَمَلِ وَهِیَ عَمُودُ دِينِكُم.

شما را به نماز و مواظبت برآن سفارش می كنم.  همانا كه نماز بهترين كار است و ستون دين شماست.

I recommend the ṣalāt to you, and urge you to protect it [i] .  It is, certainly, the best feat, and it is the pillar of your dīn (religion).




[i] - When we stand up to offer ṣalāt, we enter a different bearing.  Before that, we have been exposed to all sorts of matters, things, and people, worldly, or spiritually.  Now we phase into a private bearing with Allāh alone.  All other thoughts must go away, in order to be able to concentrate exclusively on the one Addressee alone.  Remembrance of All ā h cannot be mixed with remembrance of others in our mind.  Therefore, ṣalāt must be protected against all other thoughts that come and go through the mind.  According to aḥādith , only the protected portion of ṣalāt is accepted by Allāh.

18-07

إذَا قُمتَ في [إلی] صَلاتِكَ فَأقبِل عَلَی اللهِ بِوَجهِكَ يُقبِل عَلَيكَ.

هرگاه به نمازت ايستادی، با دل به خدا توجه كن تا او نيز به تو توجه كند.

Whenever you stand up for the al ā t , pay attention towards Allāh cordially, in order to be granted His attention.

18-08

لا صَلاةَ لِمَن لا زَكاةَ لَهُ.

كسی كه زكات ندهد، نمازش درست نيست.

No prayer is accepted from the abstainer of the zakāh (alms) [i] .

18-09

وَ حَقُّ الصَّلاةِ فَأَن تَعلَمَ أَنّهَا وِفادَةٌ إِلَی اللهِ.

حقيقت نماز اين است كه بدانی نماز وارد شدن بر خدا است.

The truth of the ṣalāt is to know that it is access to Allāh.

18-10

لِكُلِّ شَیءٍ وَجهٌ و وَجهُ دِينِكُمُ الصَّلاةُ.

هر چيزی چهره ای دارد و چهره دين شما نماز است.

There is a visage, for everything, and the visage of your dīn is the ṣalāt.
